Hi, my name is Russ Marchewka. I am a professional beach volleyball player on the US AVP Tour and a huge health, nutrition and green living advocate. I am passionate about the education side because the more people know about how (the) body works, the more they can discover about how (their) body works. Health, nutrition and environmental awareness are what I am most passionate about promoting.
My goal is to live until 150 years of age and I believe with the right lifestyle and nutrition that goal is attainable. The key for me is the quality of life along with the longevity. Nobody wants to suffer as they get older and I live confident that I won’t suffer the ill effects of cancer or other debilitating diseases. Now to just avoid getting hit by a car while crossing the street!
I of course have my own opinions and point of view based on what I know. I always welcome input, feedback and knowledge from everyone else! I started this blog with one goal in mind: to provide free education about health and nutrition. I love to read books, watch movies, read online articles and scientific studies. Since most people aren’t as insanely interested in doing these things as I am, my humble job is to simplify the science, condense the reading and summarize the stories into easily digestible (pun definitely intended) tidbits for you to snack on as you start your lifelong journey of health and wellness.
